Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as a team to communicate and help each other and all shifts in all departments Operate forklift to transfer material throughout the plant as necessary. Accurately identify customer part numbers. Maintain production goals/ensuring machines are stocked and have empty containers Tag incoming material and move to appropriate storage locations Pull and stage outgoing material for shipment. Shrink wrap material as required. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ensure full containers have correct KanBans and partial containers have correct tags. Stage empty and WIP containers for upcoming shift. Will need to become familiar with all current shipping/receiving daily job functions. Implement TPS/Kanban Systems. Maintain good condition of containers and organize empty container storage areas Verify parts and tags and attach shipping labels per customers specifications Pack or repack parts and/or retag containers wen required Record inventory transactions accurately and complete required forms Prepare any other outgoing goods for shipment with truck, carrier or postal service Cycle count and take physical inventory goods in stock locations Keep WIP area, finished goods, containment, service, and sample parts and staging areas clean and organized to follow 6D standards Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
Non Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend meetings as required Participate in inventory and/or cycle counts as needed Other non-essential duties as assigned or required
Physical Tasks:
Drive forklift Occasional lifting from 1 to 50 lbs. Pack, repack, and sort goods Other physical tasks as required
Cognitive Tasks:
Check finished goods with packing list and tags with bar code Count parts and containers Hand write records and notes Use computer to print documents such as tags, work order traveler, pink list, pack lists, inventory balance reports and cycle count lists Enter data in computer and other tasks using computer Scan tags and other documents Other cognitive tasks as required
Machinery and Equipment:
Ability to operate a Forklift and become Forklift Certified Computer, copier, fax machine, phone system, calculator Other environmental or work conditions that arise in the course of employment
Work Environment/Environmental Conditions:
Factory environment with noise and dust Other environmental or work conditions that arise in the course of employment Ability to communicate effectively with peers and other department personnel
