Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator

Overview Group HV Inc. is a leading importer and distributor of food and beverages from Central and South America, including Mexico. Since 2008, we have proudly served the Hispanic community across 38 states, with 5,000+ points of sale. Our Covington warehouse serves supermarkets, restaurants, convenience stores, and gas stations throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Job Description We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our Covington team. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of keeping up with the fast pace of our distribution operation. Forklift experience is a plus and will be compensated accordingly. Responsibilities Manage warehouse distribution tasks by organizing inventory, stocking shelves, and maintaining proper storage procedures. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments, inspecting goods, and preparing outgoing deliveries. Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments of food and beverage products Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently Load delivery trucks and verify orders prior to dispatch Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including walk-in coolers and freezers Conduct routine inventory checks and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager Verify product expiration dates and appearance to ensure quality standards Follow all safety regulations and company policies at all times

PLUS:

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if certified) Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred 2+ year of warehouse or distribution experience preferred Ability to lift heavy loads consistently and perform physically demanding tasks with attention to safety protocols. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Previous experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Comfortable working in refrigerated/freezer environments Dependable, punctual, and a team player Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
