Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator will operate a forklift to transport product within the warehouse safely and efficiently. This position will also perform receiving and/or shipping functions as assigned by the department supervisor / lead. In addition, the Forklift Operator will assist with daily cycle count.

Job Purpose:

Accurately picking product for orders, loading and unloading trucks.

Essential Functions:

Be familiar with the functions and operation of the WMS system. Follow FIFO picking instructions from the WMS system to accurately pick orders and stage product for shipping. Daily rotation of product to ensure oldest lot codes are readily available for picking Have knowledge of pallet loading patterns Trailer inspections Inspect incoming and outgoing loads Move product efficiently throughout the warehouse with minimal damages Have knowledge of product and customer specifications and requirements Provide drivers with the accurate paperwork and shipping documents Ensure seals are secured on the trailer before the driver leaves the facility Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment Recording damages from deliveries and in house Understand and carry out hold product and reprocess procedures Assist with and/or perform daily cycle counts Attend weekly safety meetings Must follow GDP practices and SQF and HACCP guidelines Must be able to work in team environment Must have transportation/Multiple Warehouse Locations within 15-20 mile radius Must be available for weekends Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds Must complete all training courses related to job description •All essential job functions are required but not limited to the above listed responsibilities.
