Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Material Handler / Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility to support production and warehouse operations. This role involves operating forklifts and other equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to production areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely and securely Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders Store materials in designated warehouse locations and maintain organized inventory Pick, pack, and stage materials for production or shipping Perform inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment Use RF scanners or inventory systems to track material movement Deliver materials to production lines to support manufacturing operations Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, inventory, and material movement Perform routine equipment inspections and follow all safety procedures Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards
Qualifications:
Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience required/preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Experience with RF scanners, inventory systems, or warehouse equipment is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment
Skills:
Forklift operation (sit-down, stand-up, or reach truck) Inventory management & material tracking Picking, packing, and kitting Basic computer/data entry skills Safety awareness and compliance
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
