Forklift Operator

Job Overview We are seeking Forklift Operators to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. The successful candidate will operate various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and organize materials. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Handle materials with precision using appropriate equipment for heavy lifting and delicate items. Assist in order picking processes using pickers and other warehouse management tools. Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs or coordinate repairs as needed. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations during all operations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency. Participate in regular safety training sessions and uphold safety protocols at all times. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including organizing stock locations and managing materials handling procedures. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling is preferred. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshoot issues. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety. Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory counts. Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks. Previous warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management best practices is advantageous.
