Forklift Operator/Warehouse

Come work for Merrill Blueberry Farms, Inc., a full-service wild blueberry grower and processor, in operation since 1925. Merrill's is seeking highly-motivated individuals to assist in our warehouse, where we clean, freeze, pack, store, and ship Maine wild blueberries.

Forklift Operator:

Starting in late-July, these positions are 7 days per week for 5 to 7 weeks, 8 to 12-hour shifts. Based on your ability and availability, there is continuing seasonal work well into November. From September through November, hours would be 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an opportunity for more hours if wanted. Day, night, and evening-only shifts available, with differential pay offered for night shift. We will do our best to accommodate flexible schedules, and part-time hours. Hiring from late July through early September is our priority. We have two types of positions available for this skill set: • Forklift Operator -

Fresh Receiving:

Help with unloading trucks by forklift, weighing, organizing, loading trucks with empty boxes, etc. This position has the most flexible hours, but only available from the last week of July through the first week of September. 8 or 12-hour shifts are available, however even a part-time, evening, 4+ hour shift would be of great help from the right individuals. • Forklift Operator -

Frozen Processing:

Involved in packing, storing, and shipping of frozen berries. Operators would transport pallets of frozen wild blueberries to the freezers, help load and unload trucks of frozen berries, as well as other assorted general labor. 8 to 12-hour shifts are available from the last week of July through November. From September through November, this is a Monday through Friday job. This is a 4-month, seasonal position. We have hired seasonal workers as full-time employees for the right individuals. Starting wage for either position is based on skill level and experience. Prior forklift experience (electric or propane) is strongly desired.
