Job Description
Forklift Operator Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a lift-truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, pallets. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. This position operates in a warehouse setting. Essential Functions Operates a lift-truck loading & unloading trucks. Changing out propane tanks on lift when out of Fuel. Receive & select pallets for outbound. Track shipments using a handheld scanner. Clearing the warehouse floor of product and scrap. Ability to comfortably use a ratchet, utility knife and other tools as needed Follows all safety requirements and regulations. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Safety conscious Mechanical Aptitude Reliable Self-motivated Attention to detail. Communicate effectively. Works Well Independently Physical Requirements Sitting or driving - 20 to 60 minutes at a time Maximum lifting/carrying 60lbs. Frequent lifting/carrying 10lbs. Repetitive motion with wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle
