Forklift CDL Driver Job Description Forklift Operator - 1st Shift Warehouse Production Position Overview The Forklift Operator - 1st Shift Warehouse Production is responsible for supporting daily production operations through the safe handling of materials and ingredients, accurate inventory management, and efficient forklift operation within the warehouse and production areas. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and collaboration with production and warehouse teams. While a CDL is required, this position is not exclusively a CDL shuttling role . Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support production shifts by assisting with the movement and handling of heavy materials and ingredients Ensure accurate tagging and full traceability of all ingredients and materials Safely operate forklifts to transport, stack, load, and retrieve materials within the warehouse and production floor Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers in accordance with safety procedures Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure proper forklift operation Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and storage locations Work closely with production supervisors and team members to support efficient workflow Perform additional warehouse and production duties as assigned Required Qualifications Strong commitment to workplace safety Demonstrated experience operating a forklift or working in a similar warehouse or production role Thorough understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures Excellent hand‑eye coordination and spatial awareness Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting High level of accuracy and attention to detail in inventory management Effective communication skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment Must be at least 23 years of age Valid CDL Class A license required Minimum of three (3) years of over‑the‑road driving experience Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination (required every two years) Must hold a valid state‑issued driver's license Compensation Starting pay: $25.20 per hour Benefits 401(k) retirement plan Comprehensive health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO) Nine (9) paid company holidays Opportunities for growth and career advancement
