Fabrication, Inc. is a family-owned business located in Michigan with over 60 years of metal fabrication and engineering for the returnable container and rack industry. We manufacture racks and containers to enhance your shipping needs and provide a cost-effective material handling process. We specialize in the customer focus of specialty robotic platform racks, metal fabrication, material handling containers, returnable containers, and in plant process carts. We strive to be flexible and quick to respond to customer needs.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the daily operation of moving inventory and production supplies in a safe and timely manner. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform daily inspection of equipment and complete all required QC related paperwork
  • Perform quality inspections of material
  • Contribute to the safety and cleanliness of the shop
  • Follow Material Handler process per supervisor
  • Follow all company policies and shop rules
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards
  • Ensure all fire extinguishers and electrical panels are unblocked
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Prepare product for next stage of production
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
  • Proper PPE must be worn
  • Receive, track, and deliver material to production departments
  • No ripped or frayed jeans allowed
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in forklift operation.
  • Ability to pass a written and physical forklift test
  • Knowledge of changing out gas cylinders
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work 40+ hours a week
  • Ability to lift to 40lbs
  • Anything deemed necessary by Management Team Member only
