Forklift Operator

Description The schedule for this position is 6:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday - Thursday, some overtime may be required on Fridays. The starting pay rate is $20/hour.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Efficiently and safely moves materials and inventory within the manufacturing facility via stand up forklift.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Supports manufacturing production lines with parts as production dictates. Assists shipping and receiving departments in moving, locating or retrieving needed parts/supplies. Assists in picking parts if necessary Processes returns as restock items or vendor returns to stock. Assists Cycle Count Coordinator as workload dictates. Empties all garbage containers and appropriate refuse containers. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Personal computer experience --Ability to work accurately with numbers and details Demonstrated ability to handle varied projects Must possess strong organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively, Ability to complete projects with general instructions and within time constraints. Ability to consistently and efficiently perform assigned duties. Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment's 12 Core Competencies.
