Reach Truck Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our team in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment. The shift begins at 3:00 AM and continues until the end of production, usually concluding around 11:30 AM. You will be responsible for unloading freight shipments using reach trucks and safely transporting palletized materials throughout the warehouse with an RF Scanner installed in the truck. Additionally, you will move skids from higher racking down to lower racking for order selectors to pick orders. Responsibilities Operate reach trucks and deep reach forklifts safely and efficiently. Unload freight shipments and transport palletized materials throughout the warehouse. Use RF Scanner for accurate tracking and placement of materials. Move skids from higher racking to lower racking for order picking. Maintain high standards of safety and accuracy in the warehouse. Essential Skills Proven experience operating reach trucks or deep reach forklifts is required. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and accuracy standards. Ability to work cooperatively with others and handle difficult situations professionally. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with RF scanners, crown reach truck forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and picker operations. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a 1 million sq ft warehouse distributing grocery items to local Schnucks grocery stores. The facility includes both room temperature and refrigerated areas. The dry side is ambient temperature and not climate controlled, while refrigerated temperatures require willingness to work in cooler conditions. The warehouse is highly organized and clean, ensuring a pleasant and efficient work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
