Forklift Operator

Hours:

5:30pm-5:30am Tuesday-Friday; 6:00am-6:00pm Friday/Saturday, 6:00am-5:30pm Sunday-Monday Looking for a stable career with great benefits? Our North Kansas City automotive facility is hiring Forklift Operators for 12-hour day and night shifts. Join a union workforce that values safety, teamwork, and long-term employee success. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Obtain forklift license and certification from client on first day on sit-down forklift
• Operate Hilo truck
• Move merchandise to storage, properly documenting locations and/ or scanning locations and product
• Operate forklift in a safe manner
• Ensure implementation of quality and safety procedures
• Work with other associates to set up machines and stack, pack, mark, and transport finished items
• Maintain clean and orderly work area

Forklift Operator Requirements:

• Previous forklift experience required
• Previous exposure to warehouse environment preferred
• Previous experience in automotive or electrical assembly a plus
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds
• Able to sit or stand for entire shift
• Must be able to reach and grab with hands and arms
• Must be able to grasp steering wheel and controls for the entire shift
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel as needed
• Accuracy and attention to detail required
