up to $22/hr The Role Our client, a premier specialty food and gourmet gift distributor based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate with proven forklift experience. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment to move, stack, and audit inventory, receiving incoming stock, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining strict food safety and facility standards. What You Will Do Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to relocate, stack, and retrieve food products and warehouse materials. Load and unload delivery trucks while inspecting incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies. Organize warehouse storage space and participate in regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Pick, pack, and palletize customer orders accurately according to strict shipping schedules. Complete daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and equipment, reporting any maintenance concerns to leadership. Comply with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and food safety handling standards. Perform physical warehouse tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted. What You Bring High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Forklift certification preferred. High attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and accuracy when tracking inventory. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or RF scanners is a plus.
