In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment, including cherry picker, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to facilitate the safe and accurate movement of materials within a logistics, distributions & warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations, proper order picking, and adherence to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, warehouse experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties Operate cherry picker, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely to load and unload shipments efficiently. Manage order picking processes using equipment such as cherry picker to fulfill customer orders accurately. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance. Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) data entry for inventory tracking and order processing. Handle materials with precision, including heavy lifting, palletizing, and stacking goods in designated storage areas. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency. Maintain compliance with OSHA standards by following safety protocols during all equipment operation and materials handling tasks. Perform basic math calculations related to weight, measurements, and inventory counts as needed. Utilize various equipment such as lift trucks, pickers, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts for diverse operational needs. Assist in inventory management tasks including stock rotation, cycle counting, and reporting discrepancies. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts such as cherry picker, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting. Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations along with order picking procedures is a PLUS! Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshoot equipment issues. Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including load & unload procedures. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills necessary for inventory counts, weight calculations, and measurement conversions. Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, pallet jack operation, and materials handling techniques. Experience working under the supervision of a warehouse manager or supervisor is preferred.
