Shift/Pay:
5 Days a week 3:30PM-Midnight @ $22.00 Monday-Friday Opportunities for OT daily! We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work in a brand-new distribution warehouse, operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to support the movement, storage, and staging of food and beverage ingredient products. You will handle order picking, pallet consolidation, and inventory accuracy using RF scanning equipment, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. This position provides hands-on material handling responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with potential for growth. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Pick orders accurately based on pick tickets, including correct item number, size, quantity, and location. Use RF scanning equipment to maintain accurate inventory records and confirm order details. Manage pick ticket orders from start to finish, ensuring all items are pulled and processed correctly. Pull warehouse items from shelves and storage locations according to order requirements. Verify that all orders are accurate before staging or shipping. Pick, wrap, and stage orders for delivery or shipment in an organized and timely manner. Stage items correctly in designated areas to support efficient loading and outbound processes. Read and interpret incoming order requests and follow instructions with attention to detail. Adhere to established quality and customer service standards at all times. Inspect forklifts and other material-handling equipment before use and perform basic maintenance or report issues as required. Identify, report, and help reduce safety hazards in the workplace. Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods to optimize warehouse space and organization. Load and unload materials and products from trucks or other vehicles as needed. Palletize, stack, and organize products to maintain a clean and efficient warehouse layout. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while performing daily tasks. Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned to support overall operations. Skills Minimum 1+ years of experience operating powered forklifts and various material-handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts and reach trucks. Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts for loading, unloading, and order picking. Experience with order picking, palletizing, stacking, loading, and unloading in a warehouse environment. Ability to use RF scanning equipment to track and verify inventory and orders. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safe material-handling practices. High level of attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and inventory integrity. Proficient math skills to verify counts, quantities, and basic calculations. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and proper use of equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse environment handling food and beverage ingredients. Comfort working with inventory systems and RF-based technology. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple pick tickets and staged orders. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Reliable attendance and flexibility to adjust to different shift times as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a brand-new distribution warehouse in Mickleton, NJ that stores food and beverage ingredients such as spices and coconut water. Nothing is manufactured on-site, but there is a noticeable spice smell, so you should be comfortable working in that environment. The facility is not temperature controlled, so working conditions will vary with the seasons. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility required to work 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. when needed. The role involves frequent use of sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, RF scanners, and other material-handling equipment, along with regular lifting and movement of products. The dress code requires steel toe boots, work pants, and a plain top with either long or short sleeves and no graphics or writing. Sweatshirts, hoods, and strings are not permitted. All required PPE must be worn, and safety policies must be followed at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mickleton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
