Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a reliable forklift operator to assist in moving material to the proper location to support the industrial manufacturing of a fabrication shop. The material being moved will consist of raw metal material and finished products. Apply now if you are passionate about fabrication and eager to learn more. Responsibilities Operate a forklift to move raw metal materials and finished products. Ensure the accurate loading and unloading of materials. Handle material counts and documentation of paperwork. Perform stacking and un-stacking tasks as needed. Assist with general labor tasks including painting and sandblasting. Maintain a safe and organized working environment. Essential Skills Proven experience in forklift operation. Ability to use tape measuring tools effectively. Experience in loading and material handling. Basic painting skills. Ability to count and manage inventory effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in documentation of paperwork. Knowledge of industrial fabrication processes. General labor skills. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2: 30pm for a few weeks and then transition to 3pm to 11:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bernalillo, NM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
