Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Forklift Driver is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. Working outdoors, our forklift driver moves products in and out of the shop and safely loads delivery trucks. You quickly become the product expert - knowing what things are, how they're loaded and where they go in inventory. This position will be out of our North Las Vegas for about 4-8 weeks then relocate to our new facility in Boulder City. You'll collaborate with the yard, production, and office teams, and interact with truck drivers and vendors. A highlight of your day to day will include: Previous experience operating heavy-capacity forklifts in a manufacturing, construction, or precast concrete environment preferred. Choosing and utilizing the proper forklift, based on weight, to load, unload, transport, and stack material in appropriate areas. Basic understanding of load capacities, weight distribution, and safe rigging practices. Operating forklift in production areas in a safe manner, always abiding by the speed limits and safety policies. Moving finished products and supplies from departments to yard or to trucks for loading. Completing daily forklift inspections and keeping work areas organized and clean.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You're enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You understand the controls and limitations of forklifts. Operating multiple size lifts, moving large/awkward/heavy products doesn't scare you. You have excellent judgement with weight limitations. You don't take shortcuts. You're safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team. We're open to individuals who aren't just looking for their next job, they're looking to build a career. You want an opportunity to showcase your skill set with a solid company who will invest in you. In our culture - everyone matters.
ALL ABOUT JENSEN INFRASTRUCTURE
Much like you, our founder, Don Jensen was looking for a way to support his family, so he started his Company in 1968. Since founded, we've been supporting communities across Nevada, California, Arizona, Washington, Missouri, and Hawaii. Jensen Infrastructure likely has an impact on your daily life. We build culverts to take water away from your neighborhoods, underground utility boxes to hold cables, and manholes to allow workers access to the sewers deep below the roads we drive on. And that's just a small sample of what we do at Jensen on a daily basis. When you work at one of Jensen's many locations, you will enjoy the close relationships and camaraderie of a small company while being part of a larger, well-established, growing company. We are committed to ensuring employment practices that promote equal opportunities. Please let us know if you require any reasonable accommodations during your interview process.
