We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Amityville. With at least 2 years of experience, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of goods, loading/unloading trailers, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is a professional who prioritizes safety, possesses spatial awareness, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:

Safely operate a sit-down propane or electric forklift to move, stack, and stage heavy materials and pallets.

Loading & Unloading:

Efficiently unload incoming shipments and load outgoing trailers, ensuring weight distribution and load stability.

Inventory Management:

Use RF scanners to track material movement and maintain accurate digital inventory records.

Safety Inspections:

Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment (checking fluids, tires, and controls) and report any mechanical issues immediately.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Keep the shipping dock and storage aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinate with the shipping lead and production staff to meet daily output goals.

salary:

$17.5 - $18 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4
