Material Handler - Forklift Operator

Position Overview:

As a Material Handler at iSpice Foods, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include efficiently receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products. Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Processing:

Receive incoming shipments, inspect products for quality, and process them into inventory.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of stock levels, track inventory movement, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.

Organization:

Keep the warehouse area clean, orderly, and well-organized.

Product Handling:

Lift boxes, organize products in boxes, and move products on shelves.

Loading and Unloading:

Load shipments and unload deliveries as they arrive.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other Warehouse Clerks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Familiarity with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc..) is beneficial. Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and move heavy items. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.

Required Skills/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and tools safely.
• Previous Forklift Experience is a must.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks including repeatedly lifting 50 lbs.+, reaching, stretching, holding, and carrying.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Must be flexible and cross-train in all duties of the warehouse.

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a busy warehouse, with forklift experience.

Additional Information:

• This position may require working in various weather conditions and irregular hours as needed.
