Seasonal Lumber Stacker

Bestway of New York, Inc.--a wholesale lumber pressure-treater and building products distributor-- is searching for seasonal Lumber Stackers for our facility in Gouverneur, New York. Seasonal Lumber Stacker's will be responsible for the breakdown/stacking of lumber, inventory control, and for the safe, occasional operation of a diesel forklift in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities and Duties of a Seasonal Lumber Stacker Stackers will be working outdoors in all conditions at a quick, yet safe, pace. Stackers will also be required to regularly and repeatedly lift 50-70 pounds, or more, as necessary. Stackers are responsible for correct counts of material and inventory and communicating these counts to office personnel. Seasonal Lumber Stackers must safely operate a diesel lift with a two-stage mast. Stackers must perform daily inspections of their lift to ensure safe working order and document any problems. Stackers must learn the safe operation of additional heavy equipment as necessary. Seasonal Lumber Stackers may be considered for full-time employment, based on performance.
