Job Description
We are looking for forklift operators for a client in Westfield, NY facility. For Seasonal position for Grape Season starting in September that could lead to long term employment position. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities. General Labor also a requirement. While on the forklift you must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. Ensure that you are following all safety guideline while on and off the forklift. Forklift drivers must be willing to work overtime.
WAGE:
Starting at $16.00-17.50/HR Shift:
1st & 2nd Shift 12 hour Shift Overtime Mandatory Responsibilities- Performs various tasks throughout facility including janitorial, yard, tank cleaning, drumming line, fruit receiving, press kettle, tank room helper, etc as plant needs require.
- Is trained in safe handling of cleaning chemicals and confined space entry.
- Is trained in the safe operation of a fork truck for various duties from product and ingredient handling, warehousing, shipping and storage.
- Is trained and adheres to all plant GMP's to insure safety and quality of all manufactured juice products.
- Will notify supervisor of any quality, safety, or security issues observed.
- Fill out proper paper work for area working in.
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Hairnet, beard restraints and hearing protection must be worn at all times.
- Work safely.
- Other duties as assigned.
