Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator specializing in Reach Truck and Stank Up forklifts to join our warehouse team.. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory through the use of various forklift equipment. This position is in a cold storage facility and requires working in both refrigerated and freezer environments. Candidates must be comfortable working in cold temperatures for extended periods, so a high tolerance for cold is essential. 1st Shift Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM

  • 3:30 AM Weekend Days Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM
  • 6:30 PM Weekend Nights Friday-Sunday, 6:00 PM
  • 6:30 AM Responsibilities Operate reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and mid rider forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance or repairs to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate order picking, inventory tracking, and shipping/receiving documentation. Assist with order picking using various equipment such as pickers and pallet jacks to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly. Support warehouse distribution activities by managing materials handling processes, including heavy lifting and stacking pallets. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by following proper procedures for heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain a safe working environment. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, sit-down lifts, Hi-Lo's, clamp trucks, or mid rider forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker equipment is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during shipping & receiving tasks. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including inventory management, order picking, loading & unloading procedures. Basic math skills for inventory counts and documentation accuracy are essential. #
