In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently retrieving and preparing customer orders using various types of heavy equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety throughout the process. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, materials handling, and heavy equipment operation will be vital in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-energy environment where precision, safety, and teamwork drive success. Duties Operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse. Accurately pick customer orders using order picker equipment and warehouse management system (WMS) software to ensure correct items are selected for shipment. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and company policies. Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying inbound shipments and preparing outbound orders for delivery. Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage or safety hazards. Collaborate with warehouse manager to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and support warehouse distribution goals. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, materials handling, or order pulling is highly desirable. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices. Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform heavy lifting tasks safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking processes.
