Full-Time Summary/ Objective:
This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of warehousing functions including; delivering, storing, processing, and loading of warehouse inventory.
Essential Functions:
Pull and pack orders Help Will Call customers Unload, receive, and put away stock when needed Prepare orders to ship via 3rd party Load trucks Ensure inventory accuracy Back-up driver for morning and afternoon run Back-up the Wire Services department as needed.
Competencies:
Basic mathematics skills Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy Basic computer skills
Work Environment:
This job most operates within the warehouse setting. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are presented in the warehouse. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Mental Demands:
Ability to understand direction, use logic to solve issues, and adapt well in a fast-paced environment. Must communicate professionally and effectively with others. Demonstrates safe working habits.
Physical Demands:
the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, push/pull) weight up to 50lbs unassisted The ability to climb a ladder The ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and various warehousing machinery/tools Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Education and Experience:
Previous warehouse experience preferred Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and similar equipment
