High Reach Forklift Operator in Manchester, PA 2nd & 3rd shift! Job Description The Forklift Operator receives, stores, picks, loads, and distributes building product materials inside and outside of a distribution center. This role operates propane and electric-powered industrial trucks, including reach trucks, order pickers, and similar equipment, to safely move products and materials. The position involves working at height, handling repetitive physical tasks, and supporting accurate inventory and order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities Receive, store, pick, load, and distribute building product materials throughout the distribution center, both indoors and outdoors. Operate propane and electric-powered industrial trucks, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and similar equipment, to lift, stack, tier, and move products and materials. Transport materials to and from receiving, storage, and production areas by positioning forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, and products. Organize products by sorting and placing items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fulfill customer orders by promptly pulling items from stock, placing them on pallets, and transporting completed orders to packing stations, the shipping department, or directly to trucks. Track production and workflow by reviewing customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to achieve daily performance goals. Maintain accurate records by verifying the accuracy, quantity, and quality of items received, stored, and loaded for delivery. Participate in annual physical inventory counts and periodic product counts as directed, ensuring all items are correctly labeled or tagged. Operate high-reach equipment to access materials stored on racks up to approximately 40 feet high, using cameras and laser level guidance systems as required. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of fall protection devices and adherence to weight limitations. Perform repetitive material handling tasks, including lifting and moving units and products throughout the shift. Support a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following housekeeping and safety guidelines. Essential Skills Prior experience working in a warehouse environment. Experience operating forklifts or similar powered industrial trucks. Ability to operate reach trucks, high-reach forklifts, and order pickers or willingness to learn. Proficiency with material handling tasks, including picking, loading, unloading, and palletizing products. Ability to use pallet jacks, including electric pallet jacks (experience is a plus). Comfort working at heights of up to approximately 40 feet using reach trucks and order pickers. Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including properly handling up to 50 pounds and moving an average of 560 units daily at approximately 30 Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manchester, PA.
