Forklift Operator- 2nd Shift- Stand Up

Forklift Operator Job Description This 2nd shift Forklift Operator role works in a busy warehouse environment performing core material handling and inventory tasks. You will operate various types of forklifts, including stand-up and sit-down trucks and a cherry picker, while supporting picking, packing, cycle counting, and general warehouse operations. The position requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to train across multiple departments. Responsibilities Operate stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse. Use a cherry picker to pick orders and handle inventory stored at height, following all safety procedures. Operate sit-down forklifts as needed to support daily warehouse operations. Perform picking and packing tasks accurately to fulfill customer and internal orders. Use RF scan guns to scan, track, and update inventory and order information. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team members. Support general warehouse functions such as staging, organizing, and replenishing stock. Use basic computer functions to enter data, review inventory information, and complete required system transactions. Train across multiple departments and learn new processes to provide flexible support where needed. Follow all safety guidelines, warehouse procedures, and equipment operating instructions at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with high reach equipment is beneficial. Experience using tuggers or similar material handling equipment is a plus. Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and orders. Willingness to cross-train and work in multiple departments as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
