Forklift Operator

Job Title:

Forklift Operator and Material Handler - 1st Shift Job Description The individual will be responsible for ensuring that the product is handled properly through critical tasks such as loading, unloading, weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, and labeling of pallets. The individual will be palletizing frozen meat from the chest freezer and placing it on pallets to be shipped out. The individual will also be operating a sit-down forklift to move the product. Responsibilities Load and unload products efficiently. Weigh, bag, pack, unpack, and label pallets accurately. Palletize frozen meat from the chest freezer for shipping. Operate a sit-down forklift to move products. Essential Skills Experience in warehouse operations and general labor. Material handling expertise. Proficient in operating a forklift. Work Environment The work environment involves handling frozen materials in colder conditions, with temperatures around 50 degrees in winter and 80 degrees in summer. Be prepared for a strong smell due to working with totes of chicken parts. The role requires appropriate attire to accommodate these conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mifflintown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.42 - $19.42/hr.
