Job Description
Forklift Operator - 1st Shift (M-F; 7AM - 3PM) $21.49 Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator to be based out of Philadelphia, PA. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will have broad responsibility within the production department. This position will work 1st shift, and flexibility will be required dependent on projects and workload. What you'll do: Forklift Operator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Receives all deliveries by recording units delivered and location of units. Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and quantity, placing materials in stock. Inspect materials for quality, quantity, and damage prior to shipment and report any discrepancies. Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products. Documents of product shipment by recording units shipped. Loads and unload trucks as needed. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace by following all 5S, Standard Operating and Safety Procedures, including wearing required PPE. Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE Housekeeping and sanitation. Cross trains in different areas of the shop as required. Performing tasks assigned by his or her manager. Must be available to work overtime as needed, including weekdays and weekends, to support business and operational needs. What you'll bring: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred) Previous work experience operating a forklift or other similar equipment preferred. Previous work experience with paperwork and scanning experience preferred. Knowledge of lean production processes preferred. Ability to work scheduled hours Monday-Friday. Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment Must be willing to work overtime as needed All associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability.
