- Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking 2nd Shift Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for its facility located in Duncan, SC.
Essential Job Duties:
Operate powered industrial equipment for Material Handling (fork lift, turret truck, hand crane.) Place product for customer orders and into specified locations. Use handheld scanner to systematically move orders. Perform location consolidation to open up locations for storage. Move product that has been stored incorrectly to the proper storage area. Prepare packaged order for palletization and shipping. Verify the order specifications such as part number, weight, quantity and label placement.Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or generalcation degree (GED) required.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and prore manuals.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and use hands/arms.
Required Personal Protective Equipment:
- Employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.
