Description of Duties:
Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment to transport materials within the packing room and warehouse areas Load, unload, and stack finished products and packaging materials safely and efficiently Supply production lines with required packaging materials to maintain continuous operations Move completed goods from packing lines to designated storage or shipping areas Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and company policies Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of products Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and shipping teams to meet production goals All other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification upon hire) Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment Basic understanding of inventory systems and material handling processes Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and shipping documents Strong attention to detail and accuracy Commitment to workplace safety Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Good communication and problem-solving skills Time management and organizational skills Physical demands and work environment : The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those required of an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment:
Food manufacturing facility with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and food ingredients. Must comply with hygiene and sanitation standards, including hairnets, gloves, and uniforms.
