In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy equipment—including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo machines—to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials throughout our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, inventory control, and materials handling will ensure smooth and safe operations from shipping and receiving to order picking and storage. We're looking for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards in production. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift, reach truck, clamp truck, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy. Assist with order picking processes, including manual handling and heavy lifting to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring accurate documentation. Follow OSHA guidelines and forklift safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall warehouse operations. Experience Proven experience operating various types of forklifts such as reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo's, clamp trucks, or similar material handling equipment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management techniques, and barcode scanning technology. Familiarity with warehouse safety standards in production environments, including OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and manual handling. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or materials handling within a busy warehouse setting. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or weight assessments. Experience with equipment repair or maintenance is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly. Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and working with warehouse distribution processes is essential.
