Job Description Job Description:
Safe operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. The operator may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Unload and verify shipments and move product to storage locations Efficiently and safely stack and store material in proper locations Assist with stocking operating assembly cells with materials needed to operate Assist in returning excess parts if any to warehouse Oversee and record inventory controls for department Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped Safely and efficiently move product out of and into trailers Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control Process packages Maintain daily driver log, perform forklift inspections daily, and operate forklift in a safe manner while maintaining production requirements Perform daily housekeeping duties. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED Forklift certification (TTI will train)
PREFERRED
Previous experience as forklift operator and material handler in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment Previous experience using Oracle Working conditions: Position is located at our Cookeville, TN manufacturing facility. This facility is heated and cooled. Employee will be working with and near moving mechanical parts.
Physical requirements:
Candidate must be able to identify and distinguish colors, stand for long periods of time, lift/carry up to 35 lbs., reach hands and arms in any directions and kneel/stoop repeatedly.
