  • Contract Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our warehouse operations!
In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing inventory, and ensuring the safe movement of goods throughout our distribution center. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment and your attention to safety will help us maintain smooth, timely shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse. Perform order picking using RF scanners and pick systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Conduct heavy lifting tasks and materials handling activities while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with warehouse management system updates, including stock levels, location tracking, and order processing. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate the movement of goods, optimize space utilization, and improve workflow efficiency. Perform routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts and cranes; report maintenance needs or mechanical issues promptly to ensure continuous operation. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling within a fast-paced environment. Certification or hands-on experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and shipping & receiving processes. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Previous experience in construction or warehouse supervisor roles is a plus for understanding complex logistics workflows.
