Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move pallets and materials throughout the facility, as well as performing minor dismantling and sorting of electronic equipment and other recyclable items. This role requires current forklift certification and the ability to work in an organized and efficient manner. Team members must be able to identify various materials, follow cutlines, and properly process items in accordance with established procedures. The position operates under general supervision and must comply with all safety standards and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities & Daily Tasks:

Maintain and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Work under the general supervision of the Area Lead. Sort and perform light dismantling of electronic equipment/products, separating items by designated commodity. Move pallets safely within the warehouse using pallet jacks or forklift. Operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment such as balers and shredders. Follow standard procedures and technical processes specific to the assigned work area. May be reassigned to other departments or areas based on operational needs. Hold and maintain a valid forklift certification, and follow all required safety inspections and operational procedures before operating a forklift.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Reliable and punctual attendance is essential. Overtime may be offered as needed. Willingness to travel to other sites as needed. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Bilingual is preferred. Ability to read and understand basic work instructions. Basic math proficiency.

Education & Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent not required but preferred. On the job training. Must have an active forklift certification

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Noise levels are generally moderate.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently, 20 pounds constantly, and 75 pounds occasionally with assista nee. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent physical activities including walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
