We are hosting a Sit Down Forklift Operator Hiring Event to identify qualified candidates for immediate employment in warehouse distribution and materials handling roles. This event offers an excellent opportunity for experienced forklift operators to join a dynamic team dedicated to efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities Safely operate sit-down forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using various equipment such as pickers and other warehouse management system tools to fulfill customer orders accurately. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing deliveries. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Support warehouse management by maintaining organized storage areas and updating inventory records within the warehouse management system. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize materials handling workflows and improve overall productivity. Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Experience Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or materials handling is highly desirable. Knowledge of equipment repair basics and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for inventory counts and measurements. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse environment is a plus but not required. Candidates with a background in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, or logistics are encouraged to apply.
