Warehouse Manager/Supervisor Job Overview:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for ensuring that products are moved safely and that inventory is accurate. The role involves handling materials in a warehouse or distribution center environment. willing to multitask, & hard work
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Forklift Safely :
    Use the forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products/materials.
  • Inventory Management:
    Help maintain accurate records of product movement and placement.
  • Material Handling :
    Move raw materials, finished products, and other goods efficiently within the warehouse.
  • Shipping & Receiving:
    Load and unload trailers with products for shipping or storage, ensuring correct placement.
  • Safety Compliance :
    Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and adhering to workplace safety standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance :
    Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues to the supervisor for maintenance.
  • Adhere to
Procedures :
Follow established protocols for receiving, handling, and storing materials.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    Previous forklift operating experience preferred (1-2 years). Experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
  • Certification:
    Valid forklift operator certification (preferred).
  • Physical Requirements :
    Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to
Detail:
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy in moving and counting products.
  • Communication Skills:
    Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Safety-Oriented:
    Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Indoor and outdoor environments; exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Shift work may be required, including weekends, and overtime.
