August 4, 2026 Forklift Operator Lewisville, TX $25 - $32 / per hour Full time Apply Now Back Job Description Quality Control (QC) Technician Position Summary The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for ensuring that all industrial control panels, electrical assemblies, and related products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, UL 508A standards, and internal quality expectations before shipment or customer acceptance. This position serves as the final quality checkpoint within the manufacturing process by conducting detailed inspections, electrical verification, functional testing, and documentation reviews to ensure products are safe, compliant, and manufactured to the highest standards. The QC Technician works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, and Production teams to identify, document, and resolve quality issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, and the ability to interpret engineering documentation.
Compensation Pay Range:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated technical expertise. Overtime may be available based on production needs. Benefits available in accordance with company policy. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Full-time position (40 hours per week) Occasional overtime may be required based on production schedules, customer deadlines, or business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform final quality inspections on industrial control panels and electrical assemblies prior to shipment. Verify compliance with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, bills of material (BOMs), panel layouts, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards. Inspect workmanship to ensure proper wire routing, labeling, component placement, torque requirements, fastening methods, and overall assembly quality. Conduct electrical continuity checks, point-to-point verification, voltage verification (when applicable), and functional testing according to established procedures. Verify compliance with UL 508A requirements, NEC standards, and internal manufacturing procedures. Review completed documentation for accuracy, including inspection reports, test records, redline drawings, and quality documentation. Identify nonconforming materials, components, or workmanship and document findings through the company's quality management process. Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve discrepancies and verify corrective actions before product release. Approve products for shipment after confirming all quality requirements have been satisfied. Maintain inspection records and ensure documentation is complete and properly filed. Assist with root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities. Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and defect prevention. Support incoming inspections of purchased components as required. Ensure inspection equipment, measuring devices, and testing tools are maintained and calibrated as required. Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety policies and procedures. Communicate inspection results clearly and professionally with internal departments. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, associate degree, or equivalent electrical training preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality control, electrical assembly, industrial manufacturing, or a related field. Experience inspecting industrial control panels, electrical assemblies, or automation equipment preferred. Working knowledge of UL 508A, NEC, and industrial electrical standards. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and engineering drawings. Strong understanding of electrical components including PLCs, relays, contactors, VFDs, power supplies, terminal blocks, circuit protection devices, and control systems. Familiarity with quality inspection processes and documentation. Proficiency using measuring instruments, multimeters, continuity testers, and other electrical testing equipment. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP or quality management software. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify workmanship issues and recommend corrective actions. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize multiple inspections and meet production schedules. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments. Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to distinguish wire colors and component markings accurately. Manual dexterity to inspect, verify, and test electrical connections and components. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, electrical equipment, noise, and varying temperatures. Work Environment Manufacturing and production facility. Exposure to industrial equipment, energized electrical systems (when testing), and manufacturing processes. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required as applicable. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to support production schedules and customer deadlines. Preferred Qualifications UL 508A knowledge or certification. Experience with industrial automation, PLC-based control systems, and electrical control panel manufacturing. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
