$19.00 per hour The Company Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums. We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer. Job Purpose Warehouse personnel of Hampton Farms are involved in the manufacture of food products intended for the consumer. Warehouse personnel need to have an overall understanding of receiving practices, shipping practices, loading / unloading material or product. Warehouse Personnel must know the location of each storage facility, inspection techniques, final product disposition, storage, proper packaging and labeling used at Hampton Farms. Being a producer of peanut butter, Warehouse personnel are aware of risks involved with regard to proper packaging, unloading and loading techniques (not damaging product, raw material, or packaging supplies), proper storage, and forklift safety. Warehouse personnel must maintain a clean and sanitary warehouse environment and must be familiar with the activity on the production floor to react if a crisis arises and primarily work independently. This position is for the Lubbock location and reports directly to the Production Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work assigned shift in our peanut roasting, peanut butter producing and packaging facilities. This is a food manufacturing environment. Work with minimal oversight and willing to follow directions closely. Maintains incoming goods, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and company policies and procedures. Assist the Warehouse with inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
Conduct month end inventory:
Raw and Finished Product Rework Product Packaging Material Pallet Inventory Product in transit or parked on the property ready to be unloaded Damaged inventory Complete warehouse operational requirements such as GMP's, Master Sanitation and any Food Safety requirements. Work with the Production Team on materials needed for each production day. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Engage in measures of improvement and development of the warehouse. Motivate staff to make an effective and efficient team. Operate a forklift truck. Load and unload shipments according to schedule. Assist with checking in and signing out drivers Helping with drivers/paperwork for both inbound and outbound loads Maintaining files/records for orders/
BOL's/paperwork Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of products; Basic math skills; Computer skills (MSOffice products) is a requirement; Attention to detail, strongly desired; and previous forklift and or warehouse experience preferred. Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) i.e. NetSuite, to maintain real-time inventory accuracy, manage order fulfillment, and ensure proper lot tracking and traceability. Perform any other duties that are asked of them by the supervisors/managers (Even if the task does not pertain to their position). Open and flexible to occasional fluctuating/flexing hours based on business need and customer order shipment scheduling. Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to work in production and manufacturing environments. At least 1 year of forklift operator experience Must be able to successfully E-Verify, background check and drug screen.
Desired:
Manufacturing experience is helpful. Any experience in food manufacturing and GMP knowledge is a plus. 2+ years of forklift experience is a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None Required. Safety and/or sanitation certifications in manufacturing a plus. Work Environment A food manufacturing atmosphere that requires employees to work in a production/plant environment where physical hazards such as industrial equipment and forklifts may be present. This position will primarily function indoors; however, working outdoors will be required as needed so exposure to fluctuating temperatures and weather should be expected. Warehouse storage atmosphere with multiple forklifts operating at a given time and occasional pedestrian traffic to be aware of. Competencies
