- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trailers using various equipment such as pallet jacks, lift trucks, and hi-los.
- Verify and document the count and condition of freight being handled.
- Sort and stage freight for outbound shipments.
- Perform order picking and packing duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards.
Skills:
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying freight.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Mechanical aptitude for operating equipment such as pallet jacks, lift trucks, and hi-los.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds or more.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and documentation.
