This position requires strict adherence to safety standards, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in an active industrial environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate large front-end loaders with fork attachments to safely load and unload pipe, equipment, and vessels from trucks and trailers. Transport materials throughout the pipe yard and warehouse while maintaining load stability and clear visibility. Stack, stage, and organize pipe and materials according to yard layout and job requirements. Inspect equipment daily and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately. Follow all company safety policies, operator guidelines, and site-specific safety requirements. Utilize spotters when required and maintain constant awareness of ground personnel. Assist with general yard duties as needed, including housekeeping and material handling. Work safely in varying weather conditions and high-traffic work areas. Communicate clearly with supervisors, truck drivers, and other crew members. Employees will be required to participate in an on-call rotation to support night and weekend delivery needs. Qualifications Proven experience operating large front-end loaders and/or forklifts in a pipe yard, industrial yard, or similar environment. Strong understanding of load handling, weight distribution, and safe lifting practices. Ability to read and understand hand signals and radio communication. Must be safety-minded and able to follow detailed instructions. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as required. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment multiple times per shift. Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Work Environment Active pipe yard and warehouse setting. Exposure to heavy equipment, moving vehicles, noise, dust, and weather elements. High emphasis on safety, communication, and teamwork. Safety Expectations Comply with all PPE requirements, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility clothing. Participate in safety meetings, JSAs, and toolbox talks. Immediately stop work and report unsafe conditions.
