Forklift Operator / Engineeing Techncian

Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. Responsibilities Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory movements and update records accurately Reach Truck experience preferred Perform basic equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to minimise downtime Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas Conduct routine inspections of forklift machinery to ensure operational safety and compliance with health and safety regulations Support inventory management by counting stock and organising storage areas Assist with general warehouse duties as required to maintain a clean and organised workspace Skills Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety protocols Ability to load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety standards Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and stock organisation Basic mathematical skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving within the warehouse Experience in shipping & receiving processes is desirable but not essential This role requires a dedicated individual who values safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
