Machine Operator / Forklift Operator -
Salt Lake City, Utah Pay:
$18.00-$20.00/hr (DOE)

Salt Lake City, UT Position Summary We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator / Forklift Operator to join a growing manufacturing and distribution team. This position combines forklift operation, material handling, machine operation, and order fulfillment responsibilities. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and operating equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials throughout the facility Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment Operate production equipment, including: Circular saws for cutting wood used in packaging Band saws for cutting metal materials Use RF scanners to track and move inventory Measure materials and verify specifications using measuring tools Operate dock levelers and dock locks Stack and organize materials for safe transportation and storage Identify and report damaged or discrepant materials Maintain a clean and safe work environment Meet production and shipping schedules Qualifications Previous forklift experience required Prior machine operation experience required Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping/receiving environments preferred Ability to read a tape measure and use measuring equipment Comfortable lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials throughout the shift Ability to work safely around machinery and moving equipment Strong attention to detail and attendance Requirements Steel-toed boots required Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Must pass a 7-year criminal background check Good driving record required Ability to work overtime as needed
