- Job Description
- This role involves safely operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to load and unload trailers, move materials throughout a large warehouse, and support shipping and receiving activities.
You will also assist with picking and packing orders, assembling containers using hand tools, and preparing work orders for shipment while working closely with a small, collaborative team.
- Responsibilities
- + Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach truck forklifts to load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
+ Perform material handling tasks, including moving, staging, and organizing products and components throughout the warehouse.
+ Use RF scanners to perform order picking, inventory movements, and shipping and receiving transactions accurately.
+ Pick and pack orders according to work orders and prepare shipments for dispatch.
+ Follow directions and instructions to properly assemble containers as part of a team of approximately five people.
+ Use hand tools such as drills, hammers, and screwdrivers to assemble and disassemble container components and related structures.
+ Read and use a tape measure to take accurate measurements during assembly and material preparation.
+ Handle pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move pallets and products safely.
+ Lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds or more on a continuous basis as part of daily tasks.
+ Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining a positive attitude and supporting a cooperative work environment.
+ Adhere to safety procedures, including wearing required protective footwear and using tools and equipment properly.
+ Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, following all attendance expectations while on contract.
- Essential Skills
- + Proven experience operating forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach truck forklifts.
+ Experience with material handling, shipping and receiving, and order picking in a warehouse environment.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
+ Ability to use RF scanners for picking, inventory, and shipping activities.
+ Ability to use hand tools such as drills, hammers, and screwdrivers for assembly and disassembly work.
+ Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble and disassemble components and structures.
+ Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure for measurements during assembly and material handling.
+ Basic math skills to support measuring, counting, and verifying materials and orders.
+ Ability to follow directions and instructions precisely for assembling containers and preparing orders.
+ Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude.
+ Reliable attendance and willingness to meet strict attendance expectations.
+ Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment that can be cold in winter and hot in summer.
+ Steel-toed boots (steel-toed protective footwear) as a mandatory requirement.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Assembly or construction experience, particularly involving container or structural assembly.
+ Experience using pallet jacks and other warehouse material handling equipment.
+ Previous experience as a forklift operator in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center.
+ Experience in picking and packing operations using RF scanners and warehouse management processes.
+ Comfort working in a large warehouse environment with high activity levels and multiple projects in progress.

- Work Environment
- The role is based in a large warehouse facility with a significant volume of container assembly and material handling activity.
You will work primarily on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The facility can be cold during the winter and hot during the summer, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The work is team-based, with groups of about five people assembling containers together and handling a high volume of kits. You will regularly use sit-down, stand-up, and reach truck forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and hand tools such as drills, hammers, and screwdrivers. Steel-toed boots are required as part of the dress code and safety standards. Attendance expectations are strict while on contract, and consistent presence is critical to supporting team operations and meeting production demands.

- This is a Contract position based out of West Valley City, UT.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $19.
50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
