Full Job Description Sit-Down Forklift Operator Chesapeake, VA Starting Pay:

Since 1957, Givens has provided warehouse, distribution, transportation, packing and crating, and air freight solutions. As we continue to grow, we're looking for dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. If you have experience operating a sit-down forklift and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse Load and unload 53' trailers, flatbeds, and shipping containers Receive inbound shipments and stage outbound freight Use RF scanners to accurately receive, locate, and pick inventory Pull orders for shipment and prepare freight for delivery Shrink wrap and secure pallets for shipping Inspect freight for damage and report shortages or discrepancies Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company policies and OSHA safety procedures Meet daily productivity and on-time shipping goals Perform other warehouse duties as assigned Qualifications 2-7 years previous sit-down forklift experience required High school diploma or GED preferred Forklift certification or ability to become certified Experience using RF scanners preferred Basic math and reading skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Why Givens?
