We're looking for a reliable, experienced Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a fast‑paced environment. What You'll Do As a Forklift Operator, you will: Retrieve packaged products from the packaging area and load them onto outbound trailers or into warehouse racks. Unload inbound trailers containing products or raw materials and stage them appropriately. Complete daily pre‑shift and post‑shift forklift inspections. Inspect trailers and pallets prior to loading to ensure safety and quality. Perform inventory tasks such as bin consolidation and case picking. Safely operate sit-down forklifts to load and unload trailers while following weight and shipping requirements. Move finished goods from production lines to their proper warehouse locations. Assist with truck and trailer loading and unloading as needed. Use RF scanners to pick products from racks, hand wrap and label them, and stage completed orders. Maintain a clean, safe work environment through regular sanitation tasks. Lift up to 55 pounds on a routine basis. Essential Skills Proficiency operating sit-down forklifts. Experience in shipping and receiving functions. Ability to complete a hands-on forklift skills test during the interview. Strong commitment to safety and proper handling procedures. 2-3 years of warehouse or forklift operating experience. Familiarity with RF scanners. Additional Skills and Qualifications Experience with SAP/WMS using an iPad. Prior forklift experience in high-volume settings, including Amazon warehouses. Material handling skills, including pallet jack operation. Ability to manage a workload of approximately 150-200 pallets per day. Work Environment This position is located in a clean, organized warehouse attached to a production plant where kitty litter is manufactured, resulting in occasional dust but an overall safe and efficient workspace. Training begins on 1st shift (6 AM-3 PM) for roughly two weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift (11 PM-7 AM) with shift differential pay. The normal schedule runs Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of King William, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.65 - $26.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
