Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued, respected, and cared for. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with aging, disabilities, or health challenges. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration and help maintain accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely move clients with mobility challenges Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately and promptly Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home environments or group homes Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, autism support or hospice care is highly desirable Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically assist clients using equipment like Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition Excellent communication skills for working effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Valid certification or experience working with residents' care plans and medication administration Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or overnight shifts as needed Join us in delivering compassionate, energetic support that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives. Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
