Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and energetic Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our team on both 1st and 2nd shifts. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, handling materials efficiently, and ensuring safety standards are met at all times. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating various types of warehouse equipment. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in logistics and material handling will directly contribute to the success of our distribution processes. Duties Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently. Assist with order picking using barcode scanning systems and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately. Manage inventory levels through proper stock rotation, recording stock movements within the warehouse management system, and conducting regular inventory counts. Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders against shipping documents, and ensuring proper labeling. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, manual handling, and warehouse safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall warehouse distribution processes. Experience Previous experience operating forklift equipment such as reach trucks, lift trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts is highly preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Experience in shipping & receiving procedures along with knowledge of materials handling techniques. Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Hands-on experience with manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and proper lifting techniques. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order calculations. Warehouse experience involving order picking, load & unload activities, and general distribution tasks is advantageous.
