Receiving Clerk/ Forklift Operator Paramount Industrial Comp Norfolk, VA Job Details Full-time $14 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Customer service Forklift High school diploma or GED Team development Productivity software Material handling equipment operation Team building Full Job Description This position requires manually and accurately entering data about recent received inventory into a data base.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Ensure that all required documentation and computer entries are completed per company policies and in a timely fashion. Coordinate with Manager and other operational groups, internal and external customers, to insure the accuracy and timeliness of material receipts and other receiving activities. Operates forklift. Unloads supply trucks on own or with a helper, moving materials manually or with specific equipment or tools. Matches the materials received to the material listed on the manifest. Restocks inventory. Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database. Receive material, insure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations. Oversee receiving material handling team to insure all equipment and warehouse areas are kept clean, free of obstruction and debris, and organized at all times. Maintain organization in receiving warehouse area. Communicate with vendors on material overages or shortages. Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Management. Fill out appropriate paperwork for carrier damage. Communicates with Supervisors, and other personnel any problems or concerns. Notifies maintenance workers of equipment malfunctions. Perform any directly related appropriate duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years of relevant receiving and warehouse experience preferred Computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office package Forklift Certification Effective team building skills Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods Customer service oriented Good teamwork abilities
