Job Description
Summary:
The Saw Operator / Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial saw equipment to cut steel materials according to specifications and production requirements. This position also operates forklifts to transport steel products from the storage yard to production areas, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely to support manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining material flow, ensuring accurate steel cuts, and supporting efficient production operations while maintaining a safe work environment.Responsibilities:
- Operate saws to cut steel materials according to work orders and specifications.
- Measure and verify material dimensions to ensure accuracy before and after cutting.
- Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and material specifications.
- Load and unload steel materials onto saws and other production equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-3 years of industrial saw operation experience preferred.
