Forklift Operator Job Description This temporary role (up to 3 months) involves operating sit-down electric forklifts in a large warehouse environment to safely move, stage, and organize palletized inventory. You will support daily inbound and outbound operations by unloading trailers, receiving product, and transporting palletized paint buckets between storage and dock areas while consistently following all safety procedures.Location:

3 months Responsibilities Operate sit-down electric forklifts to safely move, stage, and organize pallets of paint buckets throughout the warehouse. Unload inbound trailers and receive palletized product in accordance with warehouse procedures. Transport palletized inventory between storage areas, racking, and dock locations to support daily operations. Load and unload trailers for outbound shipments, ensuring pallets are properly positioned and secured. Place pallets into racking and stage outbound shipments in designated areas for efficient loading. Perform general labor tasks related to packaging and packing as needed to support warehouse workflows. Handle heavy palletized loads while maintaining full compliance with all safety rules and guidelines. Consistently wear required personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes or boots. Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote safety and operational efficiency. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations. Essential Skills Prior forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Proficiency operating sit-down electric forklifts with palletized loads. Ability to handle heavy palletized inventory safely and efficiently. Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds on a regular basis. Strong adherence to safety procedures and protocols in a warehouse setting. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Capability to perform general labor, packaging, and packing tasks as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in large warehouse storage facilities. Comfort working around paint products and palletized buckets. Attention to detail when staging, organizing, and racking inventory. Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse team members and follow instructions. Willingness to perform both forklift operation and manual material handling tasks. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a large warehouse storage facility that stores paint products for major home improvement retailers and contractors in the area. You will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM in an active distribution environment with frequent trailer loading and unloading and movement of palletized paint buckets. The facility uses sit-down electric forklifts and racking systems for pallet storage. Steel toe shoes or boots are required as part of the dress code, and you can expect a physically demanding setting that involves lifting, moving, and staging heavy pallets while adhering to established safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
